CANformance CANTCU lets a BMW ZF 8HP (or DCT) gearbox run behind a non-BMW-chassis engine swap while keeping the factory BMW transmission control unit. It translates the CAN messages the gearbox expects, so you keep OEM shift quality and all the factory safety functions. No soldering required.

Depending on the gearbox, the factory TCU may need its immobiliser unlocked or custom software loaded — this can be done remotely after installation. Ask us about pairing it with our M57 to ZF 8HP conversion.

We ship Australia-wide from our Myaree, WA workshop. Large items such as kits, radiators and gearbox adapters ship by freight and are quoted at checkout.
Local pickup available from 20 Thurso Rd, Myaree WA 6154, Monday to Friday 8am–4pm — just choose pickup at checkout.
