Common questions

Conversion FAQ

Which engine should I use — M57, M57N or M57N2?

All three are 3.0L BMW straight-six turbo-diesels. The M57N (218 HP) and M57N2 (231 HP) are the most common conversion engines and have the widest kit support. If you're unsure, send us your vehicle and gearbox and we'll recommend the right combination.

Will your kits fit my vehicle?

Each kit lists the vehicles and gearboxes it suits. We officially support Nissan Patrol GU/GQ, Toyota LandCruiser 80/105, Land Rover Defender, Jeep and Navara/Pathfinder, and many customers adapt our parts to other vehicles. Use the Engine filter in the shop to browse by engine, and ask us before ordering if you're not sure.

How long do kits take to ship?

Stocked parts ship promptly. Some fabricated components are made to order and can take up to 3 weeks, and custom wiring harnesses are built in-house to suit each vehicle and typically take 4–6 weeks. Lead times are noted on the product page.

Do you fit conversions in your workshop?
