Warranty

Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Notice

Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.

You are also entitled to have the Goods repaired or replaced if the Goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This Warranty Policy is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the ACL.

1. ASLMODS WARRANTY AS TO GOODS

(a) Warranty for defects

Aslmods warrants that all Goods will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”).

Where Aslmods determines that a defect covered by this warranty exists, Aslmods will, for minor failures, at its election:

  • repair the Goods;

  • replace the Goods; or

  • provide a refund;

in accordance with obligations under the ACL.

For major failures, the Customer is entitled to choose a refund or replacement.

(b) Ownership of replaced goods

All Goods replaced or refunded under this warranty become the property of Aslmods.

2. MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY (WHERE ASLMODS IS NOT THE MANUFACTURER)

(a) Coverage

Where Goods are manufactured by a third party, Aslmods warrants that the Goods will be free from defects on the same terms, conditions, and warranty period offered by the manufacturer.

(b) Manufacturer assessment

Aslmods may return Goods to the manufacturer for evaluation.

(c) Remedy

If a defect is confirmed, Aslmods will repair, replace, or refund the Goods as required under the ACL.

3. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

(a) Inspection

Aslmods may inspect and test returned Goods to verify any defect and assess claim validity.

(b) Warranty does not apply to Goods that are:

(i) no longer required by the Customer;
(ii) incorrectly chosen by the Customer;
(iii) not accompanied by original proof of purchase;
(iv) rejected based on subjective preferences (e.g., comfort, ride quality, design, ease of installation);
(v) damaged in finish/coating after installation or after 60 days from purchase.

(c) Warranty does not apply where damage has arisen due to:

(i) modifications or alterations (e.g., welding, grinding, repainting, attaching additional parts);(ii) misuse, overloading, incorrect installation, negligence, poor maintenance, improper lubrication, or under/over-greasing;(iii) normal wear and tear (e.g., bushings, bump stops, ball joints, heim joints);
(iv) operating the Goods outside mechanical, environmental, or electrical specifications;
(v) failure to follow recommendations, instructions, or specifications;
(vi) racing, competition use, or high-stress environments;
(vii) collisions, road impacts, abrasion, or accident damage;
(viii) suspension springs used without correct bump stop settings;
(ix) shock absorbers used without correct bump stop settings;
(x) use with non-Aslmods accessories or incompatible components;
(xi) any cause attributable to the Customer.

3(d) Mechanic Installation Liability

Where Goods are installed by a qualified or licensed mechanic, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  1. ASLmods is not responsible for incorrect installation, incorrect part selection, or any failure arising from the Goods being used on a vehicle or engine for which they were not designed, regardless of who performed the installation.

  2. Installation by a mechanic does not transfer liability to ASLmods, nor does it create any additional warranty rights beyond those already provided under the ACL.

  3. If the mechanic selected, recommended, supplied, or approved the Goods for installation, any resulting loss, incompatibility, or damage is the responsibility of the mechanic and/or the Customer — not ASLmods.

  4. Warranty claims will not be accepted where Goods were fitted to an incompatible vehicle or engine model, installed contrary to specifications, or failed due to workmanship or installation errors performed by any mechanic, technician, or workshop.

  5. Under the ACL, ASLmods must provide a remedy only where a manufacturing defect exists. Incorrect installation or incorrect product selection — whether done by the Customer or a qualified mechanic — does not constitute a manufacturing defect.

3(e) Serviceable shock absorbers

Remote reservoir shock absorbers carry a one-year warranty for leakage only. Rebuilds and replacement parts are sold separately.

3(f) Labour

This warranty does not cover labour for removal, installation, testing, or refitting of parts, including where incorrect parts were supplied.

3(g) Structural tolerances

No lifetime warranty applies to Aslmods steering rods under 10 mm thickness over 1000 mm length, or control arms showing bends exceeding 5 mm per 1000 mm.

4. PACKAGING MATERIALS

If returned Goods are not in original packaging or are damaged, Aslmods may deduct reasonable packaging replacement costs from any refund.

5. MODIFICATIONS & LEGALITY

The Customer acknowledges that modifications (including suspension lifts) may render a vehicle illegal for road use in their jurisdiction.

The Customer is responsible for verifying legal requirements with relevant transport authorities and indemnifies Aslmods against all claims relating to road legality.

6. RUBBER BUSHES

(a) Aslmods uses Genuine OE bushes where possible; otherwise, equivalent-quality bushes are supplied.

(b) Vehicle manufacturers (e.g., Toyota, Nissan) do not warrant bushes fitted to aftermarket or lifted vehicles.

(c) Warranty:

  • OE bushes: 3 months

  • Aslmods bushes: 6 months

(d) Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects, not damage arising from abuse or over-flexing.

7. MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM

To lodge a claim:

  1. The Customer must email admin@aslmods.com with Warranty Claim Information.

  2. Goods must be returned to Aslmods for assessment.

  3. A written statement must be provided detailing the defect.
